Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 27, 2026  ·  Last updated: July 27, 2026
This policy explains how Tru-Genetics collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our websites or place an order.

1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to TruGenetics LLC (“Tru-Genetics,” “we,” “us”) and to the websites we operate, including thetrugenetics.com, order.thetrugenetics.com, and clinic.thetrugenetics.com.

Health information is handled separately. Information you share with a licensed provider as part of your medical assessment, prescription, or treatment is protected health information (PHI). How PHI is used and disclosed — and the rights you have over it — is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which controls over this policy wherever the two differ.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Identity and contact details: name, email address, phone number, mailing and shipping address.
  • Eligibility details: date of birth, biological sex, and state of residence — required to confirm you are 18 or older and that your protocol can be prescribed and shipped where you live.
  • Health and assessment responses: your goals, medical history, and questionnaire answers submitted through our online assessment or Good Faith Exam.
  • Order details: the products you select, order history, and communications you send us.
  • Payment details: card information is entered directly into our payment processors’ systems. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser type, operating system, IP address, and general location.
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, referring site, and time spent on the site.
  • Cookies and similar technologies, including a session cookie that carries the details you entered during your assessment across to checkout so you don’t have to type them twice.

Information from others

  • Order, shipment, and fulfillment updates from the compounding pharmacies that prepare your medication.
  • Transaction results and fraud signals from our payment processors.
  • Advertising and analytics measurement data, where permitted.

3. How we use your information

  • To verify your eligibility and route your assessment to a licensed provider for review.
  • To process, fulfill, and ship your order, and to transmit your prescription to a licensed compounding pharmacy.
  • To communicate with you about your order, blood work, refills, and account.
  • To provide customer and clinical support.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized transactions.
  • To operate, secure, and improve our websites.
  • To comply with legal, pharmacy, and recordkeeping obligations.
  • To send marketing communications where you have opted in, which you can stop at any time.

4. Text messages

If you provide your mobile number, we may send you text messages about your order, blood work status, and refills, and — if you opt in — occasional promotional messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for assistance.

Mobile numbers and text-message consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. They are used only to deliver the messages described above through our messaging provider.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:

  • Licensed providers who review your assessment, issue your prescription, and monitor your protocol.
  • Licensed compounding pharmacies that prepare and dispense your medication, and the carriers that deliver it.
  • Laboratories that perform blood work ordered as part of your protocol.
  • Service providers that operate our business under contract — website and hosting, payment processing, customer relationship and scheduling systems, email and text messaging, e-signature, analytics, and support tools. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or regulator, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our patients, staff, or company.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

6. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart and session working, remember your preferences, measure site performance, and understand how visitors find us. Some are set by third-party analytics and advertising partners.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers offer a “do not track” signal. Blocking cookies may prevent checkout and other parts of the site from working correctly.

We do not use protected health information for advertising, and we do not target advertising based on the specific medications or protocols you view or purchase.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Email: unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email.
  • Text messages: reply STOP.
  • Account details: update your information from your account page, or contact us.
  • Health records: requests to access, amend, or restrict PHI are handled under our Notice of Privacy Practices.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal information. You will not be treated differently for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and some records must be retained under medical and pharmacy recordkeeping laws.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and vendor agreements — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or from our sites.

9. How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as needed to provide services to you and to meet our legal, medical, pharmacy, tax, and accounting obligations. Medical and prescription records are retained for the period required by applicable state and federal law, which is typically several years after your last treatment.

10. Age requirement

Our services are for adults 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Third-party sites

Our sites may link to services we do not control, such as laboratory portals, patient portals, or payment pages. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be posted on this page, and where required, communicated to you directly.
