Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
Access to care shouldn’t depend on how you browse. We are committed to making thetrugenetics.com, order.thetrugenetics.com, and clinic.thetrugenetics.com accessible to people with visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a finished project.
Conformance status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Our sites are currently partially conformant, which means most of the standard is met but some content does not yet fully conform. We are actively working to close the remaining gaps.
What we’ve done
- Semantic page structure with proper headings, landmarks, and lists so screen readers can navigate content in order.
- Keyboard access to interactive elements, including menus, accordions, product tables, and checkout, with visible focus indicators.
- Color and contrast chosen to meet minimum contrast ratios for body text and interface elements.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative images marked so they are skipped by assistive technology.
- Form fields with associated labels and clear, text-based error messages.
- Responsive layouts that support zoom and reflow down to small screens without loss of content.
- Reduced-motion support, so animated elements are minimized for visitors whose systems request it.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some areas may present difficulty:
- Third-party components — payment fields, e-signature, scheduling, and laboratory portals are provided by outside vendors, and we do not control their code. We raise accessibility issues with these vendors when we find them.
- Documents — some downloadable files, such as lab requisitions or prescription paperwork produced by pharmacies and labs, may not be fully tagged for screen readers.
- Older content — a small amount of legacy content may not yet meet our current standards.

How we assess our sites
We evaluate accessibility through a combination of automated testing tools, manual keyboard and screen-reader checks, and review of visitor feedback. Accessibility is reviewed when we release significant changes to our sites.
Unresolved concerns
If you contact us about an accessibility barrier and are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your concern to the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, at ada.gov.
